Oven Falafel

Sometimes I want to cook different cuisines and so I investigate and find the best recipe and then give it a twist. These falafel where delicious, and the oven didn't make them has heavy as if they were fried with some vegetable oil.

I use dried chickpeas, I soaked them over night with a Kombu seaweed before making the recipe.

Ingredients

2 cups of chickpeas

1 large onion

1 tbsp baking soda

1 bunch of curly parsley

1 Tbsp cumin

1 Tbsp coriander

1 pink of salt

Gluten free flour to cover

1 Tbsp EVOO

Preparation:

Blend all the ingredients, except the flour and olive oil. Blend till everything is smooth and into a good consistency to shape it into balls. Make it rest in the fridge for about 20 minutes.

When the time is passed make gold size balls and cover it with flour. Add the olive oil in an oven pan and set the falafel. Set the oven at 350F and make them cook for about 30-40 minutes.

Enjoy into a whole wheat pita with salad, tomatoes and if you want a simple yogurt and lime sauce (just blend these two ingredients together)

Which ethnic food do you like to make? I am always eager to try something new!
